Bachelor of Optometry
It is a 4-year undergraduate program focused on the study of the eyes, vision, and related structures. The course trains students to become Optometrists, healthcare professionals who are responsible for diagnosing visual problems and prescribing corrective lenses, as well as providing rehabilitation for patients with vision issues.
Optometrists also play a key role in the early detection of eye diseases, monitoring eye health, and recommending preventative care. They work with a range of patients, including those with visual impairments, age-related eye conditions, and those needing corrective lenses.

Eligibility :
Direct Entry: 10+2 (PCB/PCM) with 60 % marks (55% for SC/ST) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
Lateral Entry: A candidate must have passed 2 years Diploma in Optometry after 10+2 OR 3 years Diploma in Optometry after 10th or its equivalent from a recognized board
